Entrepreneurship research is concerned with the identification and exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities, enabling factors of entrepreneurial action and the complex framework conditions under which entrepreneurial action takes place.

To address this complexity, the Department of Entrepreneurship uses a variety of approaches. We work conceptually as well as qualitatively and quantitatively empirically and use a wide variety of methods to gain knowledge. In principle, every entrepreneurial phenomenon is a potential object of knowledge - if entrepreneurship is opportunity-driven, then research on entrepreneurship must be as well.
